Evelyn 菡悦 (hán yuè) is a media researcher. Her work explores how media and technologies shape relations between humans, across species, and among nonhuman worlds. Her research focuses on non-human intelligence, embodiment, queer theory, semiotics, environmental media, and contemporary art. Working across interactive media, installation, speculative design, and cinematography, her artistic practice moves between research and experimentation.

Evelyn is currently pursuing an M.A. in Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University, and received her B.S. in Interactive Media Arts with honors from NYU Shanghai. She is still struggling to become an artist.
